On August 30 2025, the Louisiana Chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics and Chapter President Joseph A. Bocchini, Jr., MD, FAAP, published the following statement in response to the recent comments made by U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s post regarding the American Academy of Pediatrics Childhood Vaccine Schedule. Given the public nature of these remarks, we believe it is important to reaffirm the evidence-based position of pediatricians across Louisiana.
