Education Coordinator
Julia Vanchiere
Julia joined the Louisiana Chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics (LA AAP) as the education coordinator in 2022 after working as a Pre-K through 8 computer teacher and school librarian in Shreveport. In addition to planning LA AAP’s Pediatrics from the Parishes conference and Pediatric Gumbeaux webinars, she works with joint provider partners to provide education for physicians across Louisiana.
Julia is grateful to continue her family’s legacy with the Louisiana AAP Chapter through her work. Both her father and grandfather have served as leaders of the chapter during their careers as pediatricians.
In her free time, Julia enjoys reading, sewing, making jewelry, and playing Dungeons & Dragons. She can often be found at the Baton Rouge Farmer’s Market or at home with her two cats.
