New CDC study shows that among adults ages 65 and older, COVID-19 hospitalization rates during the Omicron BA.2 surge increased more than hospitalization rates in younger adults. Rates among adults who were unvaccinated were more than triple those who were vaccinated. Staying up to date with your COVID-19 vaccines is the best way to protect yourself from severe illness and hospitalization from COVID-19.
